Great idea!

Does this kind of replace tuts+ premium membership?

-f.
Not at all. Premium users still get access to all premium tutorials. The tutorials here could be useful for users who wish to purchase a specific tutorial instead of starting a subscription :)

Premium membership is so cheap though. By signing up for premium I can get like half the TUTS here at a fraction of the price.

Well I guess it makes sense for TUTS that are not on the premium site.

I have an interesting question here: Suppose, if I create a background for GR and it gets accepted then can I make a tutorial for it and submit it here? I know it will accept if it’s of quality but the question is, can I submit it here?
Hey Raincutter, that would be fine, as the background is your intellectual property :) But it would have to be a very complex background to warrant detailed enough instructions for a ‘Premium’ tutorial :)
And if it’s not a background but a complex flash file? And I write a tut based on that? Not to create the same exact file, but something similar.

Hey Firsh, you can definitely create a tutorial based around any of your own work, as long as the tutorial is detailed and high quality.

Hi Ul20, you raise a good point. The Tuts+ Premium subscription is aimed at people who read/watch lots and lots of tutorials – it’s better value for them. The Tuts+ Marketplace is ideal for people who only have time to go through 1 – 3 tutorials a month, and want to pick and choose what they pay for. As time goes on and we start getting tutorial submissions, there will eventually be lots of tutorials on the Tuts+ Marketplace that you can’t get anywhere else :)

That is what I am hoping for. Why not make some polls for requests.

I made a suggestion in a thread I made. I wanted a tutorial like that for ages but it hasn’t been made yet. I found a new Ebook by Sitepoint that covers some of it it seems but I would like something more like a tut with a video series etc.

I think this is a great idea. Opening a tutorial marketplace will change the way bloggers and other people I know make money online because now they won’t need to do the promotion, building sites, etc any more and they can focus more on create the value content.

I have posted an article about Envato Tutorials Marketplace at http://eblogcamp.com/how-envato-tutorial-marketplace-will-impact-the-way-you-make-money-online/. I hope you will also agree with me on the points that I have talked about.

Hi Skellie,

Great job on the new marketplace!

I was wondering what pricing will be for ebooks. And when ebooks will be accepted onto the marketplace.

Thanks :)
