So, what’s the difference between adding a tutorial to this marketplace and submitting a tutorial to one of the tuts plus sites?

So, what’s the difference between adding a tutorial to this marketplace and submitting a tutorial to one of the tuts plus sites?
This may be unclear. What I’m asking is there a benefit to submitting to the marketplace rather than to a tuts plus site (since the tuts plus site will pay a lot more money for one tutorial)?

It’s simple: Tuts+ pays 150$ for one tutorial and for premium tutorials they may pay a little bit more. If you sell your tutorial here and for example 100 people buy your tutorial for let’s say 5$....that’s 500$ of which 50% goes to Envato.

@iggy – That fully depends on the quality level of what you’re submitting to this marketplace. I’m thinking that, over time, authors will begin to discover exactly what does and does not sell on this marketplace.

@JeffreyWay – so,. what separates the Premium Tutorials on tuts plus sites from the tutorials on the Tutorial Marketplace? ...or can you find all Premium Tutorials on the Tutorial Marketplace?

We will eventually have all the Premium Tutorials available for individual sale on the Tutorial Marketplace. We’re still in the process of uploading much of this material
Aside from the ability to purchase this Premium material individually, we also have eBooks, material only available in this marketplace as well. The additional tutorials, screencasts, and eBooks differentiate the the Tuts+ Marketplace quite a bit. Over time you’ll see a healthy selection of material that isn’t available in the Premium program. We’ve already brought in material from Fabio Sazzo of Abduzeedo and other popular designers and coders as well. You’ll continue to see more of this.
