When I look a the categories I wonder if my submitted file can be some kind of standalone application? The categories look like only webapplications are accepted. Who can tell me more about that?

CodeCanyon is for selling code, so, if your “standalone” application runs as a web application in any of the allowed languages (currently ‘PHP’, ‘JS’, ‘ASP.NET’, ‘Java’) then it’s absolutely allowed. :)

This is especially true for the PHP and JS categories, for obvious reasons. But, perhaps with the Java category, we’re willing to consider desktop apps.
