Hey there,
I was asking this as secondary question in another thread I started but it never really got answered so here it goes again…
What can we expect to be payed for a coded e-commerce skin on ThemeForest? I mean, a fully functional shop for any of the popular e-commerce packages.
Personally, I would only consider this if the price will get in the range of $100-150. Is this realistic?
Also, would the site owners consider adding other e-commerce packages as well (CS-Cart, Avactis, etc)?
Thanks a bunch!
100-150$ is not realistic expectation for Themeforest. It’s not in their business strategy to sell so expensive templates. I think 20-40$ is the price you can expect to be set on your themes.

A file would not be listed for that much. More like $35-$50. It may not seem worth it, but you will sell more of them.
There are many templates here which are worth more, but the strategy of TF is to provide quality templates for smaller prices (I believe).
And I don’t think they’d add another category until a lot of templates for it are added/are popular. You have to post them in Misc/Other until then.
Thanks for your answers!
Still, I would like to hear an official opinion…

Most likely, it would be placed in the $20-$35 range.

There are plenty of $25-$40 files over at Flashden that have grossed $20k and up. I think if you can put together the right skin it doesn’t really matter what the reviewers price it at because of the volume you will be selling at. Also they tend to continue raising the price of your file the more it sells.

$20-35 is quite low for a nicely designed e-shop template. But I guess it’s up to the developer to see if it’s worth it or not
Cheers.
yeah I agree and maybe that is why nobody has done any. There are wordpress themes more than $35.
