GraphicRiver has over 10 categories, among them are:
Graphics – Print Templates – Textures – Vectors – Add-ons – Isolated Objects – Icons – Presentation Templates – Fonts – Web Elements
What category are you currently working on?
What is your favorite? Least favorite? The most challenging? Most fun? Well, basically anything you want to share about categories, this is the place. And while you’re at it, is there any category which you’d like to see that isn’t here?
By the way, this can be a great opportunity to see who’s working in what category, so if you have any doubts or in need of some valuable tips on how to become successful in that particular category, just go ahead and ask the author. I’m sure we can learn a lot from each other.

There is one strange thing happening here, it seems like all authors agree to upload on the same category at the same time. There was a time when you could only see textures, then powerpoint templates, then business cards or social icons. Have you notice this?

What you are saying about may be true. You see there ain’t many categories here. Only 10. Number of authors are greatly increasing each day. Then there are some categories which have their items being sold more than others. Also there are times when people see a thing being hit and start uploading the same styled stuff again and again. That’s when we get trends overdose! You probably might be talking about those times I guess.
As for me, I just create items regardless of categories. The more emphasis I give to is Business Cards because obviously that’s what I’m really good at (At least this is what I think).

I have only ever submitted to Graphics, Add-Ons, Web Elements and Icons.
Web Elements is my favourite!

Now that i take a look on my portfolio i see that most of my files are posted under the Graphics and Web Elements categories, but like Raincutter i am also creating files not based on the categories. I just design whatever i’m feeling like designing and whatever comes in my mind
I only have submitted my items to web elements, icon and add-on.
I don’t have any experiences whatsoever in print so I guess I’ll skip those categories related to print.
and web element is my favorite, or rather the only category I’m good with
I working on a new item in Add-ons that’s my favourite category. Aslo I’m working on some buttons but I’m still not satisfied about them. I love to make text styles
I think the quality of the items right now is very high. Good work everyone!
- Web Elements (love it)
- Textures
- Add-ons
I don’t know why, but i’ve submited items only to these 3 categories. I like the UI design so i prefer Web elements. I plan to design one PSD file for Themeforest but i think it’s very difficult to enter the TF marketplece.
P.S. – I also like the Print Templates category.
I like to make actions (add-ons) but I am looking to branch out into other stuff (flyers, bcards, corporate packs, and themeforest.) Currently I am working on a huge icon pack.
I mostly post to print, like business cards and stuff. Really going to try my hand at some of the other categories soon!
