@Contrastblack: Cool..That must be a monsterrr!!
congrats mate!
I think It’s always better to build the rig ourself if we got the knowledge…I bought all items & assembled by hand..for the mobo, I needed the Z68 chipset to fully utilize the i7, but was quite expensive…I went for the affordable Biostar TZ68A + and it had all the overclocking options I ever need at very affordable price
Anyway happy with the system

@Raziel, congrats to yourself, deepest respect !
I had the money put aside for a while, and instead of going for the i7 and spending the rest on crap, I said I’d do it properly and use it for 1-2 years longer…
I did want to go for a pre-built system, but after seeing the arrogance of asking 40% overprice just for that service, I thought to myself…why. I can just invest that extra 40% in an even better build lol.
To be more precise, I got a quote of 4.400E (incl. taxes) for a 2.2 xeon (can’t recall the exact model number) dual quad-core with 8 gb ram, quadro 2000, no SSD , only 7.2k hdd’s and I found that a joke.
p.s: I built the first watercooled system in my country, back in the days when there was no such thing as a “kit”
and yes, the current one is a beast! it’s 43 times faster than my previous laptop based on cinebench results alone
