My new shiny workstation Asus G750JH :D (2500$)
Look Nice ! B)
I’m looking for a new station, what are your first feelings about your new station ? Of course, As all new buy it’s the perfect one, the most beautifull of the world etc…
But seriously what are the good points and what are the bad points for a daily hard Ae user ?
Btw if there are other reviews from the community, they are welcome ! Thanks
Best regards
Steve

as of now, Steve

Well, i like to be objective, ITS COOOOOOL MAN :D lol, seriously i really like it of course because its new, but also for its horsepower, to be honest i didnt do much of after effects on it yet, i just finnished a project and all went like butter from preview to a very big workspace (comapred to the 720p screen i had on my dell 15r) to the speed of rendering, another point is CUDA cores acceleration in the GTX780m (which is accually a GTX770 desktop GPU underclocked to control heat) and the 4GB GDDR5 rocks in the preview which comes pretty smooth and can play it in realtime with some frame drops, i must note that i have only 8GB of RAM in it, but it can take 32GB, so that will be plenty, and will get rid of these drops, im planning also to max it out soon, the last point that i think is worth mentionning is the cooling, its very quiet and has dual fans, with dual exhausts and each fan is on CPU and GPU and are independantly controlled, and when moving layers or previewing tha fans dont change speed at all which is good, not as other computers that consistently change fan speeds which makes really bad noises if you are not putting headphones on, All in all its a good machine i have now for 25 days, had an issue with WIFI dropping connection, but turned out to be a driver issue and its solved :D, hope it helps any other questions feel free to shoot me here B)

True, but this year im going to a university which is away from where i live, and with my budget i could have a got a better one sure, but wouldnt be portable, dont get me wrong this one has a power brick that ways 1KG and the laptop is 4.8KG so not exactly light but better than a Case and a monitor :D
