Completed bIT major in security and mobile networks 8 years ago. Half completed CCNA on the side, but never got around to finishing that course because of a job offer.

Loved the assembler, data structures and functional programming (haskell/scheme) classes – these are things I would have definitely never learnt so quickly if self-studying. Also loved the core “cultural & ethical values” – some really mind bending stuff in that.

I left uni as a Java programmer (great language to learn with) first job was J2ME and PHP . Next few jobs were PHP and JavaScript – and that’s what I’ve stuck with as a freelancer.
