Am I the only one that does not like this at all?
I would prefer Helvetica/Arial font. It is antialiased nicer, especially on small fonts. Also, Open Sans 400 looks crappy in Chrome (on Mac).
I would also remove the border and shadowing on the boxes completely. With a medium gray background, I really don’t think border and shadow is necessary.
The sidebar could do with a slightly lighter gray, and I am also missing the dividers. I also think the sidebar icons are a little to large.
All in all I think it looks far less professional than before. I would rather see an even “flatter” design with less clutter.

Flat UI isn’t a “trend”, it’s just the lack of Skeuomorphism or gradients/dropshadows. Good design has always been about putting content first – the rest is just decoration.

It is a plugin at the moment, but it will be implemented in the core with v.3.6.
