Oh god no, stop it please.. w8, metro… gives me the creeps lately.. it’s as horrible as the old “web 2.0” look

Flat UI isn’t a “trend”, it’s just the lack of Skeuomorphism or gradients/dropshadows. Good design has always been about putting content first – the rest is just decoration.

I know i know, I just meant it terminology-wise like a few years ago everything with an ugly gradient was called “web 2.0”, now i see this ugly “metro” term coming back too much.. soo… soo kewlll.. nasty :)

But i do like the flat UI style as you call it :)

Ah, yes I totally agree. the term “Metro” is over-used and wrongly used for anything that’s not Skeuomorphic.
