Hello everyone,.

im working on the WP version for my only template and, since its a one-page template, I had to create a one-page editor to let users add/order page sections. This is what i came up with,. I need advice on what to improve or change or add in order to make it more user friendly. I have never bought a one-page template before so I have no idea if other authors use similar systems or there is an easier way (i already made it, so if there is an easier way i wont be happy :P ).

Let me know what you think!

Regards AT

You can do this pretty easily with;

http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_pages

By setting pages as child pages of your master pages, you can even have your child pages re-direct upwards if your users don’t want them accessible.

That being said, your solution looks pretty elegant :)

Thanks Tommus for the tip, that method sounds easy and actually very useful to have several homepages,. not sure how the skinning would work with that though.

@EugeneO : maybe cause i didnt know the wheel to start with ;)

looks pretty but having created something similar i can tell you the review team dont really like such implementations for single page themes

Custom skinning – post (page) metadata, in situations like this it’s best to keep things as close to WP standards as possible, I know, I tried reinventing the wheel on an early theme, subsequently it’s now gone because I wasn’t happy with the result, so from experience, get_pages, definitely :)
