I’ve spoken to the rest of the team and we’ve added the issue to our meeting agenda tomorrow – so it’s definitely on our radar :-)

Hey thanks for bringing this to our attention! Is it possible that you could give some rough, even if it is a very rough, estimate on when this will be functional? I don’t want to spend 2 weeks setting up, customizing, and getting a support ticket and/or forum system set up just to have Envato release one a month later…

Thanks!

OFFTOPIC : cool author website you have, lovely :D congrats on that! and a small question: what do you use for the subscribe to our newsletter? from scratch or a plugin?

The website is from scratch, no backend admin because it’s very simple and fairly static. The email/newsletter is called “Simple Mailing List” (http://www.notonebit.com/projects/mailing-list/). It’s easy to customize and VERY simple. Does exactly what I need and nothing more.

Good point. I guess you would need some sort of ‘bridge’ system that only takes confirmed-buyers to that Twitter Support area.

All envato needs to do is add a checkbox in your profile to share your purchase information with authors whom you’ve bought from, this way they tweet you and include their envato ID, which you can check for your item purchases for. Sounds confusing, I know.

A bridge system is needed, perhaps

Envato set up a push function , which sends the information of the purchaser and authentication token to your defined destination via the bridge , this is instantiated when a buyer posts. On your product comments thread.

Envato flags these posts with , buyer ribbon, so the flag is already in place, so on submit the buyers question , comment , reply gets pushed to your allocated end URL .

On the end URL , the bridge posts the information, authenticates the path and posts the issue.

Just a case of someone creating that bridge, I suppose.
