50 dollars = 2221 rupees today

Thats:

  • ~ 90 cans of coke/pepsi, ~125 slim cans
  • 5 Extra Large pizzas with multiple toppings
  • 2 pairs of Jeans + 3 T-Shirts at a Walmart clone
  • 1 pair Jeans at a branded store :)
  • 2 T-Shirts at Reebok/Adidas (1 is possible too)
  • 15 premium movie tickets, ~35 ordinary tickets
  • 22 litres of petrol
  • 20 moderately priced meals
  • 200 LONG city bus rides (in my city), and about 300 medium
  • 100 litres of milk
  • 27 BIG bars of quality chocolate (like someone said, it’s OK to be jealous!)
  • 10 UBER LARGE , PREMIUM chocolate bars
  • 500 GB Harddisk
  • 2 months of 1Mbps unlimited internet

Whew…. now, beat that all of you…...lol!

Well Igor, it seems like the News are not the truth. (i already know that)

Also here in Uruguay, everybody think that this is one of the most expensive countries, but seeing reality of how much cost things on other countires like europe, well, we are very well for being a third-world country.

It´s very interesting how the global-financial-crisis didn´t knock south america the way did on the rest of the world. For my point of view is very strange, i can´t find why this is happening, but for sure is above my understanding.

I could get 10 pepperoni pizzas for $50. Edit :: Large, that is.

USA is so cheap now. I am in China now and here you can get like 6 pizzas here (not large size)

USA must be one of the cheapest places in the world to live now. Especially taking into consideration the high average salaries.
