That avatar is on the popular authors list of February
1st thing, I didnt steal the design, I used alot of influence from it, if you have a closer look, it isnt copied, only the homepage looks similar.
Secondly, Envato decided to take about $560 of mine because of this, when that template only made 27 sales.
I see alot of templates here daily that look very similar to other sites, dont know what the big fuss was about this, but I do admit that the mimimal template looks alot like another design, but there are alot of differences.
I’m not a bad sport about this, that’s why im not contesting Envato’s decision as I can understand why they would think that I ripped someone elses design.

Yeap. One of mine designs was removed and envato blocked me for a while, because someone find similar site. But the similarity was only in the color scheme and background, which was made from free pattern.
Another reason why making totally original stuff is the best idea (and yes, I admit – making something original requires a lot of skills – personally I’m still seeking them :P).
I wasnt blocked, my account was disabled completely & all my earnings were taken.
yeah, I prob should not have used so much influence from said design, but it was really inline with my own design style, didnt think it would end with me being banned, but so be it, I’ll be selling my templates elsewhere.
