I hate websites where everything has to be a slider or full of animations. I’m currently doing a website for a big company as freelancer, every single page has at least one slider and lots of animations. The homepage has 7 sliders and 1 of them is fullscreen. There’s not a single day that I regret taking this job :depressed:

Flat design and white, blank backgrounds. And of course, 99.9% of all those unaesthetic, cheap and uncreative wordpress navigation bars.

Custom/modified scroll,
autoplay music,
fixed nav menu that takes like half of the screens height,
aesthetics above usability/content,
100s of js plugins taking a dump on the speed,
non-modified js/css stuff taken from web (there’s a trend about this lately),

and many other things i can’t think of right now.

Who stops you from quitting? If you don’t adapt to your clients, I think you got the wrong job.

The things I hate the most are:

  • Custom Scrollbars (why, honestly why??)
  • Music Autoplay
  • Bad Typography
  • Dark Text over Dark Background
  • Unnecessary features/elements that are just filling up the space and will never be used for sure

These are the worst… I can live with everything else :)

I’ve accepted the job, like it or not I have to finish it. We cant just quit when we have people and contracts involved. What we can do is learn from experiences and don’t make the same mistake again..
