For After Effects it almost doesn’t matter if you use $100card or $1000 card… The similar story is for 3dsmax.. As it speeds only viewport

Medium range “gamer” cards are actually faster then those cheaper quadro (check the tests on the internet).

At this moment: GTX 760 is most bang for the bucks with the best price/speed ratio.

For 3D work and certain projects in After Effects a good card is important.

While I don’t like Nvidia for many problems I’ve had with their products in the past it looks like card with CUDA technology can help you achieve really nice effects in After Effects.

Plugins like Element 3D use the video card so is nice to have some power for them also.

can’t help you :) I’m not familiar with nvidia cards. I avoid them. You can probably check a couple of reviews on net, compare specs the usual

What about speeding workflow in after effects and RAM preview? But, not in CS6 or CC, rather CS5.5? I was thinking to buy Nvidia quadro 4000….

Traded my old Quadro FX4800 for a new Quadro K4000 recently. Haven’t notice much a performance boost for After Effects but it’s a real game changer for 3ds max’s viewport preview experience.

hmm, thanks. I really don’t know if there is a way at all to make AE work faster. Horrible.
