You could implement or use a remote CVS or SVN server, it’s better than a local server backup. It’s the best way to work in teams – in a concurrent mode and also have a safe backup.

For managing code files etc as a team, git is the way to go. To get started easily, get a “micro” github.com account, ($7/month), and add each other to a new project.

If you’re talking about actually collaboratively editing code together remotely, it gets a bit more complicated. You could use a remote tmux session over SSH, and use a command line editor like vim or emacs (assuming your server is running some linux variant)

No. We are working together in office. So not virtual or remote. Just don’t want to hang out on local server. Sometime its say our local server not accessible. Although local server is on table on my laptop. Now the important part I am using wifi and all are working by sharing my pc. But sometime they are slow or did not able to enter my pc sahre file on sercver etc. So there I am interested to make backup automatically on my Portable Harddisk and also online. It will actually do by version control or something like that. Can anyone tell me the full guide line to make my office organised. Thanks In Advance

Although local server is on table on my laptop.

So, your local server is your laptop? If your Wifi connection is good, it means the issue is in your laptop… I don’t know what OS that you use (OSX, Windows, Linux), but many things to check, your firewall, your power options, etc… You can start checking by “ping”-ing from other laptop to your laptop to see the quality of connection.

I recommend you to not use laptop for your local server, but a real PC, dedicated for your local server. If you use your own laptop and then you also work using your laptop, then this unexpected issue could be happen anytime.

Thanks man. Also I was using Windows. I will follow your advice. But what about backup? What is your advice for the backup data everyday from server? Manually is difficult. I want to do it by My Portable HDD. So what software or version controll I will use. And also If I want to make online backup beside that then from where I can get service? Or where I will do it?
