Mine is Nexus..hands down.
Mine used to be the Waldorf A1, even though it was one of the basic synths that ships with Cubase, I got to know it really well, to the point I could pretty much get any sound I wanted out of it. Unfortunately A1 doesn’t work on OSX Lion, so I’m now looking for a new favourite, I’ll have to give Nexus a try
Yes, In my opinion, Nexus is best…period
Since Virus TI is not a vst, I would say…Omnisphere by Spectrasonics

Yes, I also wanted to mention Virus, but as vst synth goes it’s MASSIVE from NI. Love to play around with that one
Omnisphere.
Well, i really love Kontakt from NI, which is not a synth, but for sure the greatest sampler, which can be turned easy in a great synth, thanks to his many great filter types. I sampled some instruments already or made other crazy things with this …very flexible!!

Omnisphere, but I don’t own it yet!
I still like to play hardware synths and often use them to produce. I use very often a yamaha monophonic CS30, back from 1979, for drones and leads.
Of course I also use software synth, and my favourite is NI Absynth.
