I’m in the UK. One theme release per month is good enough.

I’m also paid with unicorns. :P

Except sometimes the exchange rates really get you and you are left with a unicorn with only 3 legs.

For an on-topic answer:

I started an outsourcing company in august 2008. I have a team in Cebu, Philippines doing web design, development, graphic design, data entry, and virtual assistant tasks. We have one big regular client, and several one-off clients per month. In the beginning, I was making $3000-$3500 profit per month ($4000-$4750 revenue, $1000-$1250 costs). Since the downturn in the economy, it has dropped to $1000-$1500 per month profit. It was never enough to quit my job, living in Los Angeles, CA, US, so I have a day job that pays quite well (my year end bonus alone is more than I make from the business). I’m in that zone where I don’t make enough from my business to quit my job, and I don’t have the time to spend on growing by business because of the job. I’m hoping selling on ThemeForest can give my business that added boost, and in a few years I can make more than I do at my day job.

$400-$600 was the norm for me for a while on activeden. It has since declined and to be honest I am not on here much nowadays which drastically effects sales in my opinion
