forgetting to save ;)
ctrl + s

blood sugar and heart attack :)

OH YES, any designer that this hasn’t happened to is not a designer. Sometimes you for get to save or there is a power outage!

On the stupid, but funny side:

Pressing the ON/OFF switch on the power outlet below the desk, with my foot. Obviously without a recent CTRL+S. :) But lately, thank God for “recovered files”.

On the serious side, a few years back when freelancing, client decided not to pay for some serious updates to website and turned rogue and verbally violent. Tried to reach a decent outcome, but there was no way to reach out to him. His major problem was that he never realised it’s bad to piss off and play your developer when you have no backup copy of your site and he still has FTP credentials. And thus, update money surfaced in less than 48 hours. :) Now I can look back and smile but at the time it was a really bad experience, the one that made me vow not to ever again do business in my country unless I can 110% vouch for my client.

Dealing with Clients who are think they are “amazing designers” :S
Is like hell on earth, you do your best to come with a good design and the client messes it up, you try to educate them, but they think you’re wrong.
In some of the cases I just needed to become a zombie designer making all the crappy stuff the client wants.

I hate customers that underestimates the effort and the difficulty of these kinds of jobs and think that the price is always too high, saying things like “hey also my 15 yo son uses photoshop” he could do this for 30 $ :D Also customers that think that creativity is not a working phase to be charged for. I know it sound wierd, but in 8 years i found many people like this!

In that case you should tell them to get their son to do their design, and see how it goes for their business! :D
