I am a perfectionist. I´m motivated when I´m close to perfection with my design.

Well.. its a damn good thread and I would like to write some lines about what I am expecting of myself here on Envato.

One of the main steps in understanding the real function of visual media is to define aesthetics and design. The real aspects of design aesthetics are not graphics displayed on a screen, but the precision and love arranging elements to appeal to the emotions of a client.

The art and procedure of creating a design, affects the perception of a clients usability and buying behaviour. Graphic design is a language. You have to learn it from the beginning to the end. If you want to speak this language perfectly, you have to achieve perfect results. You don´t have to commit the graphic software you use, to memory. You have to love the tool You are using! You must communicate with the unknown people buying your work without knowing anything about them. You must fulfill their needs! Buyers should be happy after purchasing your designs and rate you with 5 stars.

And believe me.. if you manage to make a client happy, he will come back and buy again! Thats my very first motivation. To serve happy, satisfied clients and design perfect digital goods for their needs.

The second one, as important as the first one is a good relationship to other authors of the marketplaces which support and help each other. Not with comments but only with real love and honesty! There are not many of them here and I´m really glad that I had the honour to find one of them.

Thank you Charles for this beautiful thread, it motivates me a lot seeing hard working and honest designers reaching their goal with expertise and passion!

Would be great to hear from more authors concerning this question.

It would be nice to know what motivates you to stay up late or leave some other duties just to create items for the marketplaces.

Friends, your comment is much appreciated.

To actually do something useful with my time :) Just cause. If I do nothing I get bored pretty fast, so I have to keep myself occupied.

It’s fun, it’s rewarding, it gives me a sense of purpose outside of the work-force and my family.

If I can help someone get closer to their goals with a digital item, that makes me happy. There’s nothing better than hearing someone say, “Thank you”. Nothing else needs to be said.
