Hey all,

I’m almost ready to release my first theme here, and questions about building the demo site are now coming up.

What script or plugin do you use to create the theme options panel that displays on the demo site (usually as a fly-out panel)?

Thanks

AHA!

I found a number of answers. There are a few plugins that can do it, or you can use a jquery style switcher. Apparently there’s also a php style switcher somewhere on github.

For creating the options themselves, there’s a number of choices: options framework, nhp framework, and http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/option-tree

For the demo panel, there’s a plugin that looks relatively promising (haven’t tried it) http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/customizer/ Or there’s a tutsplus tutorial on making a jquery style switcher http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/javascript-ajax/jquery-style-switcher/ More style switchers http://www.net-kit.com/10-practical-jquery-style-switchers/ Also on codecanyon there’s http://codecanyon.net/item/css-style-switcher/150156

And here’s another thread I found on this same topic (a lot of these links are from there). http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/stylesheet-switcher-for-wordpress/35461?page=1
