True – but I’m not sure all the authors would want to have that info advertised to buyers. :)
In my book that means their support is slow/nonexistent. I’m definitely for this feature!

its a good feature, but what if a comment is not a question does not require a comment?

This will affect your respond time.

Other than that, it would help buyers know how fast they will probably get support via the author’s item comments.

Exactly. It would make more sense to add a rating system, for customer support if anything.

I think it would be great if item details would include the date of the last update.

This way buyers can see if a plugin is current and being updated or not.

What do you think?

Maybe answer the support tickets? I’ve been waiting for a reply for 2 weeks and counting.

What if the author develops some kind of auto responder in the comments saying the ticket has been received to game the system. Or just check the comments once an hour and post the ticket received reply.. and respond fully later when he usually takes time with support?

@ZoomIt I wasn’t talking about support, but the status of the item. Right now there is no way of knowing if an item is current and being actively maintained, except if they add a date in the item’s description.

There is a metabox on the item detail page, including: Created, Comaptible Browsers, Software Version, Files Included,... It would be enough if they add “Last updated”, based on the updates (which are being hand approved right now, if I am not mistaken) approved.

Just to give a sense if a plugin is still “alive”...

Sorry @psvent yours is a great idea and I always write updates and changelog in my items – I meant to quote this:

I may have just had an awesome idea:

What if on an item page, it show the average time to respond to a comment. So for one item it could be:

Average response time for this item is 5 hours and 12 minutes

And then on the authors profile page it will have their total average response time.

I would think users may be more inclined to buy a particular item if they knew that the response time was small, just in case they needed help.

What if the author develops some kind of auto responder in the comments saying the ticket has been received to game the system. Or just check the comments once an hour and post the ticket received reply.. and respond fully later when he usually takes time with support?

Well done Envato team changing the “more items by”. It’s both the latest items AND broken up by marketplace. Bravo :)

Hey guys!

I’m curious; is there anything in your mind that CodeCanyon should be doing…but isn’t?

  • Are there missing categories?
  • Should we organize the subcategories differently?
  • Is there a feature that you’re dying for?

Any notes will do! I’d love to hear from you, and we’re quick about listening and making changes if they’re important! :)

Jeffrey

My suggestion for a category would be Adobe Air Apps. This would be an awesome addition for the reason that they are practically web apps since you can create them with html/js and they create a new functionality and performance increase to web apps.

I was just looking at the community badges that users can get… i looked that the sold part where you can get e.g. a red paw… but i think the should be a animated version (something extra awesome for the million +.... on http://elite.envato.com/ you have it go to 10 million… so what happens to the paws then because the green only goes to the million mark…

I know this is something small and it should only be done when someone gets close but still..

Right now items can only have 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 stars. It would be better if they could also have half a star (0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5). Most items are rates 4 or 5 stars, but if they could also have 4 and a half star… :)

Of course, this should not only be an update for just CC, but for the whole marketplace.
