I’m looking for a forum that is active and has people willing to answer questions from Dumbo’s like me..I tried webdesignerforum.co.uk and webdevforum but no use.
Which do you use?
I used to be a senior member of http://dynamicdrive.com/forums but the forums there started to become too much of a “popularity contest” rather than a place to help and be helped…
I currently use http://experts-exchange.com at the moment, but it is a paid service for those who do not answer XXX amount of questions or get XXX amount of points per month.
It’s not that expensive, and I would definitely say that the service you receive there is by far the best I’ve found so far, and I’ve been a contributing member to many webdev forums. So it’s definitely worth the small membership fee.
Thanks guys, I’m taking a look at those sites right now. Appreciate your time (:
I’ve been a sitepoint.com member for years (and years and years), and I’m also on css-tricks.com’s forum.
I also use websitepublisher’s forum as well.
WOW ! StackOverflow is Drupal!
Thanks guys, still looking for a real coomunity though. Most of these Developer forums get about 1 reply for every 4,000 reads! Yikes.
I’m looking especially for a place I can learn to turn my designs into CSS
I don’t want to sound like a hired spokesperson, but as I said, the service on Experts-Exchange.com is second to none…
It averages about 45min from the time you post a question until the time someone responds… Then, if nobody has responded within 2hrs you’ll get an email (autosponder) that will tell you that if nobody responds within 12 hours then they will send emails directly to the highest ranking people for the particular category that you posted a question in.
Only once have I had to wait for them to send an email to the gurus before I got an answer though, so it’s not a common occurrence.
