What's wrong with my work?

Hi there, I’m new to Graphic River and i’e just upload two of my works. But, both of them are rejected. Do you have any advice? So i can improve my works.

Hi Ginz, welcome to GraphicRiver!

While I don’t think there is anything majorly graphically wrong with your file I want you to consider this…

How does this raise the bar for the work that is already on GR? It doesn’t frankly, I think you need to organise what your designing, and put a bit more thought and love into it, it’s already on its way, which makes giving accurate feedback quite hard, but for things like this, the devil is really in the details.

I’ll add a few more points that may also help.

1. Ensure your file is grouped and layered properly, GR files are made to save people time, so ensure your layer system isn’t messy or confusing.

2. Work on your typography, I sound like a broken record saying this but readability and usability, especially in web elements, is a must!

3. Drop down your icon sizes, those ticks and crosses are hideously big!

4. Improve your preview image! It’s messy, crowded and badly thought out, remember, this image is basically the storefront for your file, it needs to look the bees knees!

I hope this all helps, do not be discouraged, this collection is on it’s way, just give it a heap more thought and love and you’ll come out winning!

In the first product:

1. I think the items are a bit too varied. You have used three different fonts in the product For you,search and ok . Try to make the product have the same feel.

2. The border around the YOU search bar is a bit wonky and the top line is heavier than the bottom

3. In the OK search bars, on the left it is a bit wonky and the radius drops down a few pixels

In the second product:

1. I feel some of the icon/badge items at the bottom look out of place. It seems as if you have just put them they’re for the sake of it. The look a bit too different from the total design
