JO is short for Joanne… creating ‘joi’ or joy is the purpose of life i believe. And the Iaco part is a modest little homage to the person who introduced me to Graphic River

Good question and interesting thread. I live on an island and love the ocean so originally I wanted to use Rogue Wave Studios as a business name but alas it wasn’t available. I decided to go for a similar name along the lines of freak waves or rogue waves. I played around with that idea and came up with Freq Wave Studios.
You asked & there it is!
My username came from a nickname that was given to me back when I was in college in the early 1990’s. I played the guitar in rock bands, and I was a weightlifter. So my friends called me guitarjock. I started using that name for several websites starting in the year 1998 when I got my first computer.
Crakken saidActually, it’s “Clash Of The Titans”.
“Crash Of the Titans” (A movie):
Zeus said: “Release the Kraken!”
I couldn’t find the domain name kraken.com… :’( so I made Crakken up. But I think it’s cool!
Actually it’s from the H. P. Lovecraft novels. That sucky movie is a wannabe ripoff. Also thanks for copying my avatar. I’m flattered.
Back to the topic: My name.
my username is quite historic, in that I “created” matt5409 about 8 years ago (mostly for ease of typing – try 5409). I now kind wish I had chosen something more meaningful/professional on TF as I’m actually selling stuff now…
My first name followed by the standard international abbreviation for my home city – Copenhagen.
spell in Chinese (ping yin).
.. it’s my birth name.
