I’m into AS3 with both legs now and for the OOP part I’d like to use an external editor. I tried FlashDevelop. Coming from the Flash IDE background I found the “AutoFormat” feature very handy and I’d also like this feature in my chosen external editor. I only found an autoindent plugin for FD.
Not just auto indent, but I’d like it to apply certain formatting patterns like spaces around operators, cuddling, auto ; signs and things like that. Call me lazy but even if I got the indenting and put the ; signs there still are some formatting to be done and it would be great if I could just apply that with one click.
Flash CS3 , I just like typing code by myself

Bitfade use notepad. Deal with it.
FlashDevelop is nice and simple. You can try FDT or Flex also.
This is one of those questions that you will never get a good enough answer. It’s like asking “Wich one do you love more? Your father or your mother?”
FlashDevelop is my favourite editor. It saves me a lot of time with its shortcuts, code generation, assets control, etc. But again, this is a personal choice.
FlashDevelop rocks!!

, I developed with FlashDevelop…....now Mac == Flash Builder 4!!!
Okay but which one of these have the proper AutoFormat? So far I only found that in Flash itself. Tried to saturate my question around that becaue I’d even use notepad if it had that feature. But that wouldn’t be better than Flash… I really liked how FD works however:)
Flash CS5 IDE has better AutoFormat than CS3 .
Better class handling, function handling.
