I have widescreen. No problems so far.

My only advice regarding lcd monitors would be – go with the IPS panel. You can read more here (ugly sites, but might be helpful): http://www.pchardwarehelp.com/guides/s-ips-lcd-list.php http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/ (reviews)

Thanks for the links. Will definitely check it out. :)

Samsung SyncMaster 2233SW… (22” of course). Just perfect.
Will check it out.

thank you guys. :)

Hi mate!

Well, funny thing, I just bought myself a second screen after trying helplessly to cope with 3ds max on the laptops 16” screen. It’s just impossible. Back home, I have a 26” lcd widescreen, and a 19” Philips – non widescreen. Frankly I don’t notice any distortion between the two. I did however notice that sort of distortion on an Alienware laptop from 2007 (All people look chubby).

Anyway, my new screen is a LG LED screen @ 22” and it’s just plain awesome. Looks bright as hell, clear like no screen I’ve ever had and it weighs about 1.5 – 2.2 kg (not really sure, it’s just easily movable with a single hand)

I don’t know how the prices look around your area, but this one cost just 179E while the big 26” one cost almost 350E, and it doesn’t look this good. (you can find my new screen here : http://www.saturn.at/produktinfo/?cat=N01.03.01.&groupId=1&parentCat=T00.00.12.01.&sku=1149122&keyword=LG%20LED and my home-screen http://www.amazon.com/LG-W2600H-26-Inch-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B0017S87UE )

And here is my “temporary setup” :D http://contrastblack.posterous.com/29929078 Hope this helps mate.

Best regards, CB.

I guess nobody have it. I can’t tell either, only that it’s not an ips.

Anyway, have you already bought the new monitor?

I think ips monitors are a bit expensive for me.

Nope. I was waiting for someone to reply. Though I’m not even sure how much time it’s gonna take me to buy a new one. Maybe after Halloween. But yes, I’ve seen its reviews and mostly say that it’s good.

Thanks Monika. I was hoping somebody would answer this but I guess I’ll have to try it out myself now. :)
