Which software, and WP?

Can anyone tell me what kind of software is needed to build a site like pressloft.com? And can anyone here do this? If so, please give me an ‘estimated’ price.

To be honest, you could break this website down to a basic WordPress theme with a few plugins. The file submission side of things (the most complex part I can invision) could be handled by our Author Submit Plugin: http://codecanyon.net/item/author-submit-file-wordpress-submission-plugin/3771346

Building a whole new system for a site like this could start getting costly, working with a few premium plugins and a decent theme will cost you a lot less and allow you to customize to your hearts content

Depends how much work you can do yourself, if I was to rewind back a few years and do what you want to do on basic WordPress knowledge I could see you spending $100-$200 on a theme and a few plugins, nowadays I would custom make most of it

I would personally build it myself so I know how it works, how I can make it better and for the general experience! Depends how WP literate you are

In the ideal world I would have it all setup and running for me, and then figure out how it works myself . I am not an internet/website analfabetic, but no programming and customizing wizard.

There are some scripts out there that do quite what I need, but there’s always changes to do. There are good scripts available for a reasonable price, but they have the downloaders pay and the uploaders register for free, while I would need just the opposite … and so on. A digital download e-commerce theme: same thing.

I’ve also been checking out the plugin you suggest, but I see only zip files to be uploaded. Is that correct?
