Hi there.

I have just sold my first VideoHive item.

How can I find out who bought my item?

I’d like to be able to ask them if they need anything else and also how they’re finding the product.

Thanks

Sam

You can’t. There’s not really any author to buyer features through Envato’s marketplaces. Best thing to do is include any of your contact info in your documentation files. That way they know how to contact you for support if they ever need it.

You can not contact buyers before they contact you due to envato rules.

Ok thanks very much. If they send a message via the contact form on my VH profile, how can I verify they’ve bought my items?

If the buyer comments on your profile it will have ‘PURCHASED’ beside their name where it has ‘AUTHOR’ beside yours. For an example of this you can look at the comments on Kontramax’s item ‘Full Regain’.

Congratulations on the first sale of hopefully many more.

In the email there is a link to see if the person who contacted you has bought one of your items. :)

I discourage supplying contact information in your files – unless you’re pointing them to your own support forum/system where you validate purchases, you’re much better off using the contact form and purchase confirmation link. This makes sure you offer support to the right people ;)
