So, heading out in a few hours to venture for a 6 month period (vast estimation) in lovely India… Landing in Delhi tomorrow eve and will probably spend a night or two around Fahrgang (Main Bazar area) then head out to Kasar Devi through Kotgodam / Nainital / Almora . If any fellow author / buyer / lurker wants to meet for a cup of masala chai it would be pretty awesome…

I too located on far south. 6 months are really long enough to explore and may be you will get wide/better experience than native ones!
I’m from east India. But unfortunately Delhi is located far from where I live. Hope you get to see the real beauty of India.
Im also frm south of india.
I bet you will enjoy your trip. But be careful with indian traffics. And also stay away frm people who selling something in roadside. They will force you to buy their product. Take care. Have a wonderful trip

Totally.
If you’re coming to India, then Kerala, Kashmir and Rajasthan are three places you must visit
After a bit of wandering around the north of India, ended up being here in Kasar Devi,. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crank's_Ridge for the next 6 months. Beautiful views of the Himalayas, Monkeys, Butterflies, Cows, Pigs, Sheep and all of nature in its full glory.
Thank you India for being.
If any of you happen to be up here, hit me up!
So… after 3 months in the Himalayas – it’s time to hit the south. Had enough cold freezing weather, burnt a lot of wood in that Tandoori and now its time to soak up some sun. All you Kerala peeps out there are more than welcome to suggest anything if it comes to your mind.
Arrived to Delhi about a week ago, just got the Kerala Express to the 23rd and will reach Coimbatore by the 25th (thinking of heading to Vattakanal, near Kodaikanal – to rent a house and work from there for a bit)
But, those are only thoughts, if anyone out here knows something that fits the description (just need a decent house to rent and preferably a chilled, not too crowded place) it would be more than great to hear.
Dhanyavad !
@abhimanyusharma003 This food is great. Hard to decide whats better, Southern or Indian? Iidlis & Masala dosas are great, but so are Thalis and Chicken Tikkas. Really love the idea of Dhabas, especially when they seem like a dark cage – it might be intimidating on a first sight but some of the best food is in those places…
