let me give an example to make it clear. You create an After Effects logo reveal with a prerendered particle footage from C4d for instance. Why is it not allowed to upload this footage also in the Motion Graphics category?
In my opinion,it’s a pity for all users who don’t have after Effects and would like to use this specific file in their own Animation or NLE Software.
The same applies to rendered particle footages of an already uploaded Æ project file.
What a pity Envato stuff. My 2cents.
BTW:I’ve written to Support a week ago but haven’t heard anything yet.
Sorry to revive this old post, but I have the same doubt with my first VH Project.
I will upload a “Happy Birthday” .mov created with Cinema 4D (it can be used without change). It would fit in Motion Graphics -> Backgrounds -> 3D, Object.
I will also make a version where you can add some text and / or logo in after effects. It would fit in After Effects -> Openers -> Special Events.
What is the correct way to publish it? Do I put both versions in one file and put it in the After Effects category, or upload each file separately to the corresponding category?
Can anyone help me? Or do I ask directly the support team? Thanks!
we don’t know.
better way would be to upload both of them and then ask/tell them about the other version in “message to reviewer” box
