Well

My file’s been in the cue for 6 days i don’t think i ever remember 6 days. Most of the time it was 24 hours to maybe 48 hours but not almost a week.

I know the easter weekend must have got something to do with it. I think as the file count grows so should the review staff.

Cheers

Lester

I think Envato should hire more reviewers!

1. by having a longer review time, maybe authors will be double careful and check for errors because each soft reject will delay the items release by a week
2. since authors were complaining about less exposure in the front page, this might be a strategy to increase exposure time.( just to show authors that increased exposure does not necessarily mean increased sales )
3. or its just vacation time and review time will shorten soon.

Really disappointed on how the review process now takes 3-4 times longer than usual. Our last theme on mid February was accepted in less than 2 days (including 1 revision) and that was on weekend!

From what I see, the slow response from the review team started happened since late February.

I don’t mind if we have to wait longer for the items to be published once it is approved, what I do mind is waiting for a week just to get the first response from the review team.

I mentioned Collis on Twitter about the issue but it seems that he was just to busy replying or he just didn’t care about the issue :)

And that’s the same time they posted a job listing for both a CodeCanyon and a ThemeForest reviewer. Maybe someone left and they are just a little short-staffed at the moment.

My latest theme took 12 days to get reviewed and accepted (long story short – different reviewers had different standards, creating lots of frustration and the item kept getting put back in the queue).

Off of the homepage in a little less than 24 hours.

These days, if you don’t get it launched on a Sunday/Monday and therefore make enough sales to get on the weekly popular list – then unfortunately it will be buried.

I honestly think that for each genre there should be a reviewer.

What i mean is that lets say wp, html, psd, magnetto, joomla they should have a separate reviewer. It would make the workload a lot easier i think.

For all the in between stuff like muse and the other templates and themes, all 5 reviewers could pick and go through them.

I think as more authors come and upload files the review team should also grow because soon you will have to wait a month to get something looked at.

Cheers

Really hate things like this when it happens, it just really unfair.

Envato should have a queue for approved items, each approved items will go to this queue and will automatically published on previously defined date set by the reviewer.

With this feature reviewer have better management on how many items from the same category to be published each day.

After 8+ days of wait for getting the file reviewed, it got soft-rejected because reviewer was unable to open ZIP file on his MAC. Resubmitted and it happened again. Now third time resubmission; again in queue, without any assurance if reviewer will be able to open the file this time or not.

Hi Guys,

Yes, I am totally agree but please think about that there are thousands of people uploading their Files on different Marketplaces so obviously it takes time to review the product.

It also happen to me when I uploaded my first product it takes 5 to 6 days.

Envato works for us So, be patience.

Be Happy. Cheers.
