Ive just installed it.I hate it, everything i open goes to the desktop of the old system.
The ui is bad, the arrow when hovering over stays the same so you dont know if something is clickable.
All in all i am not impressed and i am seriously thinking about re-installing windows 7 ultimate again!
I have a iMac with the latest mountain lion, a million times better!
lol, why an arrow wouldn’t be clickable?
as for me, I won’t even bother to try it anytime soon – so much for my excitement over W8

Its a really bad upgrade i think.
My wamp is not working anywhere near as good as it once did.
Photoshop keeps closing down after about 10 minutes of working on files over 100mb.
Considering my computer spec is:
3.2 Ghz i.7 16gb ram 2gb dedicated graphics card.
Ive found a few bugs, the maps or anything geographical are about 100 miles out from me when using auto location.
Windows are trying to be Macintosh a little to hard and not as gracefully as they would like

I’ve no idea why you’re trying Windows and complaining if you’re a MAC user. Could you explain me?

installed that demo version couple of months ago, use it two days, format and put win 7 back.
The only reason to have win 8 is to develop apps for it
I would say that Windows 8 is much faster than Windows 7. What’s more after removing metro ui (it should be dedicated only for devices with touch screen by the way…) and adding default menu start’s button it’s just awesome.

wait, you can remove that awful metro interface?
Yes, by using nice software: http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/ It also disables all hot corners and we gets clean Windows 8 without weird app tiles.

My start screen. After using windows 8 for a while, I think it’s not bad.
I tested Windows 8 for like ½h yesterday, I gotta say: it was horrible to use. Full screen with squares everywhere
. I like more Mac-style rounded corners ‘n’ stuff. But the speed was pretty good and I think without metro it might be better than Windows 7. And its fully compatible with Windows 7 hardware, so upgrading should not be a problem.
