WIP – Portfolio Theme

Hey guys,

do you think this theme has any chance on getting approved in PSD or HTML category? Do you like it or should I start from scratch?

(just a WIP of a project page)

A web page inside a web page? I like the header section.. the content area.. everything is centered? The footer says nothing to me.. The social media, .. social media is hot and people recognize the icons.. there are lots of free icons around that will allow you to use them for free in commercial projects..

- Well, of course it’s a web page inside a web page – it’s for portfolio purposes, how else would you show your work?

- Yea, I wasn’t sure about the centralized layout. I’ll try left-aligned content.

- People also recognize the colors of the social sites, but I might try some nice icons there.

I do not understand what you are trying to achieve: you take RubenBristian theme screenshot, place same background he used in his theme, add “download” button designed by Ruben, underneath you place screenshots of other popular themes and what? What is it going to be? Showcase of popular ThemeForest themes? Or am I missing something?

the RubenBristian’s theme was designed by me, he was the developer, you can read it in its description (and you can find its PSD version in my portfolio).

But that’s not the point – this should be a portfolio theme where the main part will be changing depending on the reference site (so the current theme which in the portfolio page is basically just a dummy content to show how it could look like. http://cl.ly/image/1A1A1d2v0N3Y

it has everything in place, the layout is good and clean, the typography sits nicely – i have nothing negative to say. Except i wouldn’t ever remember it.

Atm i’d say it’s the perfect layout for lawyers, given the choice of typography, clarity and imagery. But for creatives? Mhhh. No, sorry.
