I’m writing all of the apps down to look into later!

I got the 24inch dual 3.06Ghz model. Its a pretty schweet machine!

Only thing that sucks, is I have been using a Hanns-G 28 inch monitor for my PC, and I still have it hooked up, but the Mac is next to it…and I always thought the Apple displays were ultra bright until I got it next to my 28”. The Hanns-G makes me feel like I need a flashlight to see the Mac properly lol…

@wicked: hehe, I am already the greatest designer in the world…I’m just the worst developer at the same time lolololol j/k. I have like 13 flash file interfaces designed…and all I need to do is cut them up, learn actionscript, piece them together, and make them work! LOL …So I think by the time I actually learn flash I will have like 3,000 files ready to go. Just keep designing interfaces for components, and then when I finish I realize I dont know flash, and just kick it to the side. LOL

you forgot audiotuts :D I’m really curious about this tutorial site, I mean everyone use another program, not like on vectortuts (illustrator) or flatuts (flash) and psdtuts (photoshop)

on audiotuts (FL Studio, Cubase, Reason, Logic and many more)... they should choose FL Studio cause its the easiest to learn and to upgrade

Yep, cant wait for flatuts. I’m hoping to see some really nice tutorials. The main thing I’m looking for is how to create a BASIC website…for structure and project layout purposes. I believe there are a few ways of doing things…but the main two I see a lot are.

Buttons that have “gotoandplay frame 20” with all of these animated layers tweened..with 1 million layers, and tweens everywhere.

OR you see a few layers with only frame 1 holding a keyframe, and I assume everything is done in the actionscript.

Now I think both are right, but I feel like 90% of the tutorials are based off the timeline, and tweens, and I feel like thats more of an older, less commonly used today, method. I just want to learn whats standard now…and then I can expand on that… So I am hoping FLA tuts has some stuff regarding that.

I think if an audiotuts were to come to be, It probably wouldnt be limited to one software package…but I’m sure there would be a hoopla of info on fruity loops.

ok, but then everyone should have all programs on his pc… and plus cubase is very expensive (800$) and Reason should be in that pricecategory too.. both of them are near on 2GB space…... NOW we see FL, 50 – 200 MB space, have to do what version you have, and the price is acceptable for a newbie, max 150$ – 200$ and you could upgrade it with no end, that means instruments, plugins, VSTs and and and….. additionally:

- Cubase – 800$ – 2GB space – no free downloadable plugins

- FL Studio – 200$ – 200MB space – updating with free and royalty plugins

Yeah, I understand the pricing, but similar to what they are doing in vectortuts (not limiting the tutorials to just illustrator), they are not going to only accept tutorials for 1 program. Doing this would limit their reader base to only fruity loops users, where as the name would be audiotuts, meaning all things audio.
