Hi guys, just testing all widgets work fine and when debuging the wordpress on local i get this error when running the rss widget.
Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in wp-includes/class-simplepie.php on line.
As i said, i am using the core rss widget which comes as standard with wordpress

I am having the same problems with this file, class-simplepie.php.
some people say replacing all & new with new will fix it, bu t i would like to see WP solve this issue for me instead of having to do it myself and editing CORE files.
Anyone contacted WP about this issue?
