Hello guys, I’m planning to make a Wordpress Theme (or at least to try make one) and I was wondering if you can recommend me some blank Wordpress Theme to start with… I would love something which is compatible with the last version of Wordpress, Custom Menu’s and stuff like that
.
Thank you,
Alex.

The themes that WordPress comes with are quite a good starting and learning place, also this is quite good https://github.com/elliotjaystocks/starkers. Spor la WordPress-uit

Thanks, but can I sell it on themeforest when I’m done with the theme?

Thanks, I already got this, but I was looking for something more advanced, I guess I’ll stick with it for a while

You could just take a look at the TwentyTen and TwentyEleven themes which come with the download of WordPress. Everything in there is commented so you can learn quite alot from it!
This one works great for me: http://www.rootstheme.com/
It’s not blank: it comes packed with a lot of things, but you can remove what you don’t need.

Thanks so much for your replies guys, I started with Twenty Ten naked, and since I’m almost at the half of the road, I won’t stop, but I’m gonna check that Automatic theme after I finish this.
Cheers.
Well it seams the _s theme is really something… http://themeshaper.com/2012/02/13/introducing-the-underscores-theme/ Will try it also…
