Hi guys, I was wondering if there is a forum (other than wordpress.org one) where WordPress developers and non developers discuss about everything related to WordPress, including running WordPress based business, ideas etc. ?

I came across wptavern but it seems they are closed for some reason, couldn’t find actual info why (seems to be money issue).

So, any active community you would recommend?

It’s not so easy to start the forum, and it costs a lot of money if you want to market it right :)

I would not recommend WordPress.stackexchange. That forum can be helpful at times but the community there is very negative and for the most part it is a bad community. If you don’t ask your question just right, they will vote down and give you a negative score. This is like thumbing your nose at someone. usually they will tell you that your question is not good enough for their forums and ask you to rewrite it. It’s a pretty big learning curve to use that forum

I am aware of stackexchange but thats more Q & A than forum.

I am looking for a relaxed community where any discussion is welcome, not only developing related. Is there no such place?

There are quite a few ‘general’ forum areas here: http://wordpress.org/support/

99% of topics there are support requests, no general talk about WordPress business, discussions etc.
