Hello,
I have a question to WordPress theme developers.
I’m interested in creating WordPress Theme based on popular Frameworks.
What WordPress Theme Frameworks are you using and which you can recommend?
I’ve noticed that the most developers here uses Genesis Framework.
But there are many useful frameworks. Is there any chance to be published on themeforest if you are using different frameworks? For example, WooFramework, Pagelines, Elemental, etc.
Hello !
I would recommand you not to stick with one of these frameworks. After all, you want to sell a theme, not a child theme
I also don’t think that your theme will be accepted for sale on TF if it is built on Genesis, WooFramework, etc.
I would suggest you to go with Boostrap or Foundation css/js frameworks. Here are some good versions for WordPress by 320press : -http://320press.com/wpbs/ -http://320press.com/wp-foundation/
They will give you a good reset, an extremely solid CSS /JS base. This is the most important for you. Afterwards, it will be extremely easy to build your theme following your exact needs.
All the best !

There is an entire category for Genesis themes: http://themeforest.net/category/wordpress/frameworks

But it contains 12 items since 2010, and the total sales of this category is less than many many themes in the regular wordpress categories…
I am starting a WP theme with the Bones framework – this is an amazing starter theme for WP. It’s responsive, very well documented and is implementing LESS and SASS css compiling – great stuff!
gnrocks saidTrue, but that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t be approved.
