I’m running a few websites based on wordpress hosted on mediatemple.

In the latest year I registered over 4 hacking attempts and it has become ridicolous how much time I have to waste to restore everytime all the gugas, because there is everytime a backdoor or a bug and some freaking guy runs a dumb script ruining our business.

I got another attack last week, the traffic dropped, lost money, lost time to dig the code and find the injected script.

I think I’ll just quit Wordpress, it has become too crowded with crap I have enough of this. Before running again a website based on this popular cms think it twice.

I am not a security expert but Wordpress have many loop hole in hacking this is one of the downside, never understood why all those 18 years old kid`os spend there time on hacking instead of chasing hot girls, everyone been hack on some point , just stick with flash you will do us all a big favor anyway :P .

With flash it’s much easier fixing the damage

exploiting cms vulnerabilities has become fist method of hacking servers for years now.

almost no time needed, script kiddies and hackers wannabe just download and use automatic tools to find and exploit vulnerable sites.

widely used web apps like wordpress and joomla are first target, so always make sure you check and apply updates ASAP .

Also, do your research before installing any custom plugin or templates

Maybe once you get the site up running, copy everything down from the FTP and run a cron to download backups of your database nightly. That way if that happens, you can just start from scratch and put it back to the state it was in before it was hacked
