Wordpress Item Rejection

Hi,

So i uploaded an item the other night and it has come back as rejected. The reason being…

“Unfortunately, your submission is too similar to existing item(s) in our marketplace. Your upload must be a unique concept not based on any existing marketplace item.”

I’ll be honest here, the item is going to be used for my own personal site. I figured I would kill two birds with one stone and sell it as a template. So it being rejected, while discouraging, is fine cause maybe I shouldn’t put on the market place any way.

The item is a downloads blog. Meaning its a template for a site that has downloads. You know like the ones that give away free PSD ’s and what not. As far as i know, there are no items on the market place directly catered for this. So why would it be rejected for not being a unique concept?

but in any case the concept might be different but the look isn’t, that’s what they mean

then they should say that.

so it should be a download blog…maybe like premiumpixels? seems you’ve got a lot ‘inspired’ there. .

I know they mention concept but it’s all about the aesthetics

I understand what your saying infused … but premium pixels is not a marketplace item.

There are thousands of download blogs.

I dont think im going to go back and change the appearance after spending so long on it haha.. I guess it will just be for personal use now. But it would of been nice :3
