Hi everyone,

I need some advice on a Wordpress website I’ll be working on in the coming weeks.

I’d jsut like some input on how you guys would go about the setup for this as I’m going to be creating a website which would include 3 minisites. So basically I’d have a Homepage where a user selects a division. the content would vary but would use the same template with colour variations.

I’m just wondering what would be the easiest way to set this up, for client creating content etc.

Not sure if multisite is too much, or try child themes?

Thanks in advance.

Use WP page templates: http://codex.wordpress.org/Page_Templates

or conditions:
if ( is_page( $id_here ) ) {
    //some code here...
}
elseif ( is_page( $id2_here ) ) {
    //some code here...
}
elseif ( is_page( $id3_here ) ) {
    //some code here...
}

Hi,

Thanks for your reply,

I currently use page templates but wasn’t sure if this would be the best way to go as I’d still need to have the 3 sites separate bit interlinked.

Thanks

It depends by what and how exactly it should work, but I think that a combination between Page templates and Custom post types should resolve this dilemma.
