Thanks, Dan! These 2 tutorials are the foundation of building some really cool themes, the kind that make less tech-savvy users very, very happy! ;)

Great!!, i already know how to create theme options pages, also dashboard widgets, now with the implementation of custom panels on post/pages, even better!!

And by the way, does anybody know how to add those custom fields panels depending on the post_type? I mean, let´s say you want to add some to “pages” and some other to “posts”.

And even more, any ideas on how to create custom post_type posts? You know, for example, let´s say i want to create some new post_type called “product” and in some way add a button to menu, same as entries or pages, but Products… and so on.

I know there are some plugins that do this, currently i know Magic Fields and More Fields, and they do that and you are able to add, modiffy, etc. But i want to know how to build a post_type from zero.

:)

Hey curtis, you just bumped a very old thread lol… When I saw danharper was the one who was the author I was like “Huh!” because he’s the one who told me about this site, and that was a while back.
