nice to hear that , what about HQ html templates, PSD templates
That’s two price increases for WordPress in one year. This needs to spread to other categories i.e. Magento which requires massively more work than WordPress but is selling at the same price point from its launch in 2010.
I was looking for a Magneto theme recently and Themeforest has the cheapest themes by far. And generally the quality is better. I think all categories need to be accessed.
The quality of items on TF far surpasses many other sellers out there. Authors deserve to have their prices with current pricing trends.
I am just a buyer and i think pricing should be raised in a few areas.
That is great to hear. But what about prices of HTML templates? I think you should raise them too. Today, almost every HTML template is responsive and has a ton of options. I think the quality passed those 15$ quite a while ago..
The concerns and feedback on this is definitely on our radar, though I can’t comment on what is being planned or the timeline as that sits with another team, which will announce plans on this once they’re ready.
So the price for one page is now $30. and the price for complex wordpress is $45-$50?
Correct, though this aspect of the pricing structure hasn’t changed.
Hi jremick, good change. Can you name some features that would make up a theme with exceptionally advanced functionality, or provide names to items that have had price changes so we can see what this consists off.
There’s a wide range of features that could be considered exceptionally advanced functionality but some of them were advanced administration options, live search, form builders and easy and fluent setup (which is difficult for such complex themes).
This would definitely be considered during the review process.
This is great news for TF authors
Our Magazine theme http://themeforest.net/user/minimalthemes/portfolio has just been adjusted to $55.
Thanks alot TF!
Not fair for consumers, of course authors will be always wanting more money, but whatever flows for you Envato…
