For those that remember last December, I released a little script called the “WordPress Status Dashboard”. It jumped around between two accounts and support was wishy-washy because I simply couldn’t handle all of the support requests coming in.
I’m happy to announce that the script is now open source! So all of you coders out there can have at it. I’d love to see someone turn this into a much more solid script. It had quite a few issues with certain server setups, etc.
The code isn’t rock solid either, someone with a keen eye and a knack for PHP could really polish this up and make it even greater.https://github.com/justinscheetz/WordPress-Status-Dashboard
What does it do dude?
Sorry, I was in the middle of setting up the demo:http://sandbox.altitudemarketing.com/status/ USER : demo PASS : demo
Basically, you set up the script, install the plugin on a WordPress site, and it connects the two. Gives you some basics statistics like version number, plugin updates available, etc. Color-coded blocks also warn you of errors, etc.
I’ll have to try this out
