Hello,

Here is recent hard rejection that I received today. http://demo.crunchpress.com/crunch-biz/

Its a WooCommerce Powered Store and Portfolio theme. I’m very disappointed, put 2 months in it and don’t know how to move forward. Please kindly share your opinion how can I improve it for resubmission.

Here is the message that I received from reviewer.

Unfortunately your submission Crunch Biz – Business & Commerce WordPress Theme isn’t quite ready for ThemeForest and requires significant improvements and changes before it can be resubmitted and reconsidered.

Additionally, we have some extra feedback for you:

Your template does not provide a unique enough design with the necessary design quality, features and options to compete in the marketplace at this time. As higher quality templates become available in the marketplace, approval requirements will increase to maintain appropriate marketplace quality.

You might consider improving your design with more unique features and graphics in order for it to stand out among other marketplace items. However, a unique design will be a key factor for approval.

I know it’s frustrating to be rejected citing uniqueness but recently, we’ve gotten a large number of template with the same overall features and presentation and we have to draw the line somewhere.

However, we do accept themes with similar structure but in condition it provides better quality in terms of aesthetic or features.

This is my eprsonal opinion and represents what i would change in the theme.

Header – logo nav are ok Main slider – better background picture, something more vibrant. More spacing betweens columns (top bootm) Even more spacing between section of the website. To many different patterns. Some of them are hard, more subtle would be great. Better images in the banner and throughout the website. Probably i would change Heading font to be different from the logo. You have some underline or border in the portfolio page. Make it more subtle or remove it. Make icons the same collor, some are grey some are darker. In the footer make the copy a little to grey so it can be different from the white of the titles. and use more spacing betwen elements.

Hope this is helpfull.

wow I submit my work 3 days ago and then I got an e-mail message like you.

I think your theme is ok, it have a lot of features (I think that my theme have a lot features too :P).

TF care much more about uniqueness, I think they should write some rules about new themes(what design they do not want). It’s make me disappointed when they copy & paste the reject message and do not tell anything more, (I spend 2 months for making theme but they spend 1 minute to copy -> paste ..)

I submitted that theme to another marketplace and its live over there. TF is #1 marketplace and have very high quality standards. Your designs should not only be feature rich but the core here at TF is that they should be visually appealing. Improve your graphic design skills and you will be doing great.

Yeah I know that point, good design but a few features can be accepted more than a lot of features only. But I think the best theme should be good both back-end and front-end (that mean coding and design).

In TF Designer skill > Programmer skill, ok I will practice my design skill more..
