One of my clients bought [removed], and in single.php and page.php found hidden backlinks to scam webpages:

Line 4: <h3 style="position: absolute;top: 0px; left: -9999px;"><a href="http://www.********.ru/" title="Wordpress Themes">wordpress themes</a>.</h3>

One of the websites infected by virus.

BE AWARE!!!!

Hi Vilkai,

I removed the name of the item because is not allowed to call out items nor authors on the forums but I’m reviewing the file and contacting Support. Thanks for your help.

You’re right, I just checked. You should inform the theme author of that immediately by sending an email, if you haven’t already.

How do those links get into the code? or did the author put them in intentionally?

Hi vilkai, thanks for bringing it to our attention. As mentioned above, our Review Team is looking into it.

I see you’ve just now contacted the author as well, which is great, and if we find something off with the theme, we will also let the author know so it can be fixed as soon as possible.

Due to forum rules, this thread has been locked. Thanks for your understanding.
