Work in progress, would appreciate tips

I’m planning to get this site template approved on TF. It’s only a part of the front page, I’d appreciate some feedback on this. I want to get it approved, and I need to know if there’s any issues with it that would make it rejected.

In my opinion, The hierarchy is a little bit wrong – Block’s title is too big. One more thing – I don’t see the footer. Should be a place to copyrights.. There are a few more things, you should work more on it

I’d need advice from authors who got items accepted here.

To my eye it is a worthy work and it looks interesting. But not that it is without faults:))) Two things I want to mention. Pay attention to: 1) background texture–badly tiled, work on it. And it has some strange (rectangular with rounded corners, as if some object had been glued to here and then torn out but this object shape left ) spot on texture. Can you delete this spot accurately in Photoshop? 2) Contrast–or more precisely absence of it. Font-size is tiny, grey on grey, unreadable. “Welcome To My” is invisible while white shadow is too strong. And all shadows through the design are too harsh, I think.

thanks for the points you mentioned. yes I already spotted that the repeat-line is visible on the background texture.

at the unreadable part, you mean the contrast is too low?

Yes, grey on grey, almost impossible to read, font-size it too tiny, all chances that text will stay unattended by reader. I mean the text under “This Is My Latest Work”, and tweets also are hardly visible (just for reference I am on iMac, you know the quality of Macs, so it is not that something wrong with my computer, therefore it is better to increase the contrast).

yes its definetely not an issue with your screen thank you

Looks good man, the text is small but you can zoom on the image, once in fullscreen it looks very readable.
