Ive created a menu to sell on here however it worked fine in every browser until i loaded it in IE 9. What should i do? Im rather annoyed at the fact IE dosent support or process the code the same as Chrome/FF/Safari…etc
You should get it working
Not only 9 but 8 too. Menu is nothing complicated, you should be able to support IE 8 and 9.
But i cant seem to get my head around why it isnt working, does IE even have a inspect/debug function?
Any idea what the most common errors are? for example ive to center the div ive put margin: auto; but it wont even do that
A quick google search found this Nettuts article that explains 9 common IE9 CSS issues. Good luck!http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/html-css-techniques/9-most-common-ie-bugs-and-how-to-fix-them/
Thank you ill have a look in the morning I would like to say i have googled around but i didn’t think to google that i was googling for validaters and things thanks again, just read to me like might been implying i haven’t tried to figure it out myself
Wasn’t trying to imply you didn’t look, just pointing out that the issues are common IE is annoying and should be killed off lol.
Thank you again, had a scroll over it and fingers crossed will fix the majority of it!
And I totally agree with you on that… It actually wouldn’t be as bad if they processed it the same as the other ones ! :/

IE10 might support your menu, but you should make it compatible with at least IE9 (F12 is the shortcut for the Inspector), you could use conditional tags to specify code for IE browsers (note that IE10 does not support “if IE” conditional tag anymore). Good luck with your menu!
